Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Beltpress Operator in Houston, TX to safely operate and maintain a mobile belt press at treatment facilities and customer sites. The role requires a GED, 21+ years old, and a willingness to obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator’s license.

Qualifications

Basic mathematical skills and tool knowledge.
Ability to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job.

Responsibilities

General maintenance and operation of a mobile belt press focusing on quality and quantity of production.
Set up and tear down equipment at customers’ treatment facilities.
Maintain clean equipment and work area including shoveling and hosing.
Abide by regulatory compliance and safety guidelines.
Operate a tractor-trailer truck on site (non-highway) to stage trailers for loading.
Operate additional pumps and ancillary equipment on site.
Make down polymer solution for dewatering process.
Maintain daily production log.
