Job summary

Wrench-Inc. seeks a Mobile Technician contractor (1099) to diagnose, repair, and prepare vehicles for clients and fleet partners. The role covers engine, transmission, brakes, steering, electrical, and maintenance tasks, with a focus on efficient, high-quality service.

The position offers startup flexibility: set your own schedule, negotiate rates, choose jobs, and define your service area. Start time at 6 AM; travel to customer sites with a fully equipped service vehicle is expected.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of automotive mechanic experience.
• Master Tech or Medium Duty experience preferred.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues.
• Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical, and other automotive systems.
• Efficiently address and resolve breakdowns, no-starts, and other mechanical or electrical problems.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake pad replacements, and fluid checks.
• Ensure that vehicles receive scheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Familiarity with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
