- Technician positions pay weekly
- Hourly pay: $31.00 - $35.00 based on experience
- Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
- Additional monthly performance incentives available
- Schedule: Flexible 40-hour work week (weekend premiums apply)

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or professional diploma preferred
- At least 4 years of combined classroom training and work experience
- Non-commercial driver license: Class E
- Valid commercial driver license (CDL): Class A preferred
- State driver's license as required
- Ability to understand and follow company policies
- Ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills
- Completion of preventive maintenance training (PM230 & PM298) within 90 days
- Brake air system training (BA220 & BA298) within 90 days
- Brake inspection and repair (FMCS 396.25)
- Hydraulic brake training (BH220 & BH298) where appropriate within 90 days
- Tire and wheel service (TW220) within 90 days
- HVAC and A/C training (AC220 & AC298) within 180 days
- Battery service and warranty knowledge
- Heavy-duty electrical training (DR208) within 90 days
- Support for service island operations (SBT220 & SBT Phase 2) within 180 days
- Online engine course completion (minimum of 2)
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become a Ryder employee, you must:
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a background check and motor vehicle record review, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnosis, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance for non-contractual customers.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, fuel filter changes, fluid checks, alignments, suspension replacements, and light/mirror replacements.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace engines, including alternators, starters, radiators, injectors, transmissions, and other fuel system components.
- Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic brakes.
- Operate mobile maintenance vehicles and travel within the region to customer sites.
- Understand and represent Torque/Ryder products and services.
- Use Salesforce and electronic documentation to record work orders, customer approvals, and repair notes accurately.
- Perform environmental duties such as site inspections, cleanup, and chemical handling with guidance.
- Comply with all federal, regional, and corporate regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
