Job summary

Payne Weslaco Ford is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join our team in Texas. The role provides on-site maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs for customer vehicles, with travel to various locations. A valid driver’s license and customer-focused service are essential.

The ideal candidate has automotive repair knowledge, the ability to explain repairs to customers, and the discipline to maintain records and work safely. Evening/weekend availability may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or automotive training preferred.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician, mobile service technician, or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 consecutive years with a clean driving record.
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various customer locations to conduct vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and rectify engine, transmission, electrical, and other automotive issues.
• Interact with customers to explain repairs and provide cost estimates.
• Ensure all work is executed accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain precise records of services and parts utilized.
• Keep the work vehicle and equipment clean and organized.
