Job summary

Instant Car Fix LLC is seeking a Mobile Automotive Technician on a 1099 contractor basis to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles at customers’ locations across California. You’ll use advanced diagnostic tools and modern repair techniques to deliver reliable, on‑site service.

We offer flexible scheduling and pay between $50 and $80 per hour, with performance bonuses. A high school diploma, ASE certifications, 3+ years of hands‑on experience, and a clean driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree in automotive technology or related field preferred.
• ASE certifications highly valued; Master Technician status a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment and repair software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced tools and software
• Execute a wide range of repairs, from routine maintenance to complex system overhauls
• Conduct pre-purchase inspections and provide detailed reports to potential buyers
• Offer expert advice on vehicle care and preventive maintenance
• Maintain meticulous service records and documentation
• Manage inventory in your mobile service vehicle

• Adapt to new technologies and repair techniques as they emerge
