Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform ADAS calibrations on a wide range of vehicles and provide high-quality customer service. The role includes programming, pre/post scans, basic electrical diagnostics, and test drives to ensure proper vehicle operation.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, technical training, and knowledge of OE scan tools. ASE/I-CAR certifications are a plus and safety, reliability, and customer relations are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform ADAS calibrations on most makes/models using OEM or aftermarket scan tools.

• Test drive vehicles after repair to verify proper operation.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work orders and needs.
• Develop relationships with customers to sustain service levels.

It may also perform light electrical and mechanical procedures.Essential Job DutiesPerform calibration repairs, utilizing OEM or aftermarket scan tools, including understanding scan tool codes to determine needed repair or calibration.Perform programming and pre/post scans. Perform minor electrical diagnostics.Test drive customer vehicles after repair to ensure proper vehicle operation.May perform basic diagnostics and light electrical and mechanical work.Provide clear communication with customers regarding current work orders and additional repairs needed.Develop relationships with new customers and provide a high level of service to existing customers to maintain customer relationships.Complete training provided by the Company in a timely fashion.Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidentsAssume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GEDAutomotive repair experience.Diploma/Certification from Technical School or higher in the field(s) of Mechanical Repair or Electrical/Diagnostic Repair or equivalent experience.Preferred RequirementsASE or I-CAR certifications are a plus.Knowledge of OE scan tools.Experience with diagnostic equipment is a plus.Experience with estimating systems, like TCC, Mitchell, or All Data.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Basic computer skills.Basic messages communicated orally. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
