Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store, are key members of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations. They are ambassadors who generate energy and excitement around our products and services, thrive in high-traffic environments, and are passionate about the connected world. They excel at building relationships with customers through meaningful interactions, identifying needs, and recommending solutions. Mobile Associates are expected to meet and exceed performance targets by excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Proactively engage with a broad range of customers in a busy retail environment, using digital tools, educating customers, and demonstrating the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Leverage digital self-serve tools during customer interactions, identify needs, and use solution-based selling techniques to showcase T-Mobile products and services, including helping customers understand how to self-serve via the T-Mobile app.
  3. Complete training on in-store experience, products, systems, and procedures. Continuously improve skills to provide the best customer experience. Partner with nearby stores for customer onboarding and perform store operations, including opening and closing procedures, securing assets, and reporting issues.
  4. Be customer-obsessed—connect on a personal level, build rapport, trust, and loyalty. Follow up with customers, manage referrals, and build relationships with new and existing customers. Perform price overrides for specific offers as needed.
  5. Build relationships with store leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and account management.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer satisfaction focus—passionate about customer advocacy and balancing experience with performance goals (Required)
  • Team building—willingness to collaborate, learn, and share best practices (Required)
  • Retail sales—competitive drive and confidence in a fast-paced environment (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly base pay is $21.00. During the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentives. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive target of $18,000/year, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees earn at least $20/hour including incentives. Every employee is eligible for an annual stock grant.
