Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They focus on building relationships with customers, educating them about our products, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is a learning position, where new associates work with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to a Mobile Expert role. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class customer experience, and building loyalty by:
  2. Helping customers continue their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
  3. Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology in-store.
  4. Providing personalized solutions beyond devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
  5. Approaching customer interactions with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
  6. Using digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding to demonstrate coverage, plans, and services.
  7. Completing training on the T-Mobile in-store experience, systems, and resources.
  8. Continuously learning about wireless innovations and new products during shifts.
  9. Collaborating with other T-Mobile employees across channels to ensure a seamless customer experience and identify small business leads.
  10. Supporting team initiatives and fostering an inclusive environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail experience preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer advocacy and engaging authentically (Required)
  • Competitive drive and success in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with peers and managers (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly pay is $17.50, plus $5.00 training pay during the first 90 days. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive of up to $18,000. All employees are guaranteed a minimum of $20/hour including incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), stock grants, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, family benefits, tuition assistance, and discounts.
