Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MAs) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who energize and excite customers about our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations and customer needs are constantly evolving. They build meaningful connections with customers, deepening relationships and helping them find solutions through education, demonstrations, and personalized recommendations. This role is a learning position, where new associates develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and fostering loyalty by:
  • Assisting customers in continuing their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store
  • Exploring individual needs and demonstrating the latest technology
  • Selling personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices
  • Approaching service and sales with integrity and compassion
  • Utilize digital tools to demonstrate:
    • Coverage and network speed in the customer’s area
    • Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services
    • Completing training on systems, processes, and product knowledge
    • Continuously learning about innovations in wireless technology
  • Build relationships across channels, partnering with other T-Mobile employees to:
    • Ensure a seamless customer experience
    • Identify and pass small business leads
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment

    Education

    • High School Diploma/GED (Required)

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred (Required)

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun
    • Competitive drive with success in fast-paced sales environments
    • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders
    • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals

    Licenses and Certifications

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Hourly Pay

    $19.00/hour base pay. During the first 90 days, associates receive training and may earn incentives. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert offers an annual incentive target of $18,000, with total earning potential of at least $20/hour including incentives. All employees are eligible for stock grants.
