Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They focus on building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and educating them on device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience, and building loyalty by:
    1. Assisting customers in continuing their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
    2. Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology.
    3. Selling personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices, with integrity and compassion.
  2. Utilize digital tools during interactions to demonstrate:
    1. Coverage and network speed in the customer’s area.
    2. Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services.
    3. Knowledge of store experience, new skills, and systems.
  3. Build relationships and collaborate with T-Mobile employees across channels to:
    1. Own the customer experience and resolve issues.
    2. Identify and pass small business leads.
    3. Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer advocate with a fun, genuine personality (Required)
  • Drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
  • Team-oriented, eager to learn and share ideas (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Details

Hourly pay starts at $17.50, plus $5.00 training pay during onboarding. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert offers an incentive target of $18,000/year, with total earnings guaranteed at $20/hour including incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), stock grants, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, family benefits, tuition assistance, and discounts.
