Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They connect deeply with customers, building relationships and uncovering needs to educate and recommend device and service solutions. This role is a learning position, where new associates work with their team to build skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling:
    • Assist customers in their shopping journey, online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Explore needs and demonstrate technology products.
    • Sell personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approach customer interactions with integrity and compassion.
  2. Utilize digital tools effectively:
    • Show coverage maps and explain plans and services.
    • Complete training on store experience, systems, and resources.
    • Continuously learn about wireless innovations and technologies.
  3. Build relationships and partner across channels:
    • Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance customer experience.
    • Identify and pass on small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer-focused with a passion for connecting with others (Required)
  • Driven to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
  • Willing to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Information

Within 90 days, associates receive training and can earn incentives. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive of $18,000, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees earn at least $20/hour including incentives and are eligible for stock grants.
