Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, continuously evolving with technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience. They connect deeply with customers, building and deepening relationships, and are passionate about educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to build skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
  • Helping customers continue their shopping journey, whether online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Exploring individual needs and demonstrating the latest technology.
  • Side-by-side selling for personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching service and sales with integrity and compassion.
  • Use digital tools effectively for interactions, onboarding, and demonstrating:
    • Coverage and network quality.
    • Plans and services benefits.
    • Training on store experience, new skills, systems, and resources.
    • Learning about innovations during shifts.
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with other T-Mobile employees to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues.
    • Identify and hand off small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
    Education and Work Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
    • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun. (Required)
    • Competitive drive and success in a fast-paced sales environment. (Required)
    • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders. (Required)
    • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals. (Required)

    Hourly pay starts at $17.50 plus $5.00 training pay. During the first 90 days, associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for training pay. Afterward, they can promote to Mobile Expert with an incentive target of $18,000/year, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour including incentives. They are also eligible for annual stock grants.
