Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They connect deeply with customers, building and strengthening relationships unmatched across the wireless industry. They seek to understand customer needs and are passionate about educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, where new associates develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service and Sales: Build proficiency in serving and selling by providing a world-class experience, helping customers continue their shopping journey, exploring needs, demonstrating technology, and offering personalized solutions beyond basic devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices. Approach interactions with integrity and compassion.
  2. Digital Tools and Knowledge: Master and utilize digital tools to demonstrate coverage, plans, and services. Complete training on in-store experience, new skills, and systems. Continuously learn about innovations in wireless technology and optimize shift time for learning.
  3. Team Collaboration: Establish relationships with colleagues across channels, jointly owning the customer experience, resolving issues, and supporting team initiatives. Identify and support small business leads and foster an inclusive environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Work Experience: At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
  • Skills and Abilities: Passionate about customer advocacy, competitive, adaptable, team-oriented, and capable of balancing customer needs with performance goals (Required)

During the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, an annual incentive target of $18,000 is available, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees are guaranteed a minimum of $20/hour including base pay and incentives. Every employee is also eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
