Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They focus on building meaningful connections with customers, deepening relationships, and helping customers find personalized solutions for their device and service needs. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities

1. Customer Service and Sales: Build proficiency in serving and selling by providing a world-class customer experience, including:
   • Assisting customers with their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
   • Demonstrating the latest technology and exploring customer needs.
   • Offering personalized solutions beyond basic device and plan options, including accessories and IoT devices.
   • Approaching customer interactions with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
2. Digital Tools and Knowledge: Use digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding to demonstrate:
   • Coverage and network capabilities in the customer’s area.
   • Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services.
   • Complete training on in-store experience, systems, and resources.
   • Continuously learn about new wireless innovations and technologies.
3. Team Collaboration: Build relationships across channels, including:
   • Owning the customer experience and resolving issues collaboratively.
   • Identifying and referring small business leads.
   • Supporting team initiatives and fostering an inclusive environment.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)
• At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Passionate about customer advocacy and enjoying connecting with people.
• Competitive drive and success in fast-paced sales environments.
• Willingness to collaborate and learn from peers and leaders.

Additional Information

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Afterward, they can promote to Mobile Expert, with an annual incentive target of $18,000, performance-dependent. All employees earn a guaranteed minimum of $20/hour including incentives, and are eligible for an annual stock grant.
