Mobile Associates (MA) Role

Mobile Associates work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, creating energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations and customer needs are constantly evolving. They focus on building meaningful connections with customers, deepening relationships, and providing exceptional service.

This role emphasizes learning, with new associates working closely with their team to build skills and prepare for advancement to a Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service and Sales: Develop proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class customer experience, and building loyalty by:
  • Assisting customers at every stage of their shopping journey, whether online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology in-store.
  • Providing personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching customer interactions with integrity, composure, and compassion.
  • Digital Tools and Training: Use digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding, including:
    • Explaining coverage, plans, and services that keep customers connected.
    • Completing training on in-store experience, systems, and processes.
    • Staying informed about wireless innovations and technology.
  • Relationship Building and Teamwork: Partner with colleagues across channels to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and refer small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
    Qualifications
    • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
    • At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred (Required)
    • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun while connecting (Required)
    • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
    • Willingness to collaborate with peers and leadership (Required)
    • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals (Required)
    • At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Hourly Base Pay: $19.00

    Within the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, the annual incentive target is $18,000, with guaranteed minimum earnings of $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. All employees are also eligible for an annual stock grant.
