Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who generate energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They build meaningful connections with customers, deepening relationships and helping them find solutions tailored to their needs, including accessories and IoT devices. This role is a learning position, where new associates develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. All new associates are required to complete training successfully.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service and Sales: Build proficiency in serving and selling by providing a world-class experience, helping customers continue their shopping journey, exploring their needs, demonstrating technology, and offering personalized solutions.
  2. Digital Tools and Training: Use digital tools effectively to showcase coverage, explain plans, and stay informed about innovations. Complete training on systems, processes, and in-store experiences.
  3. Relationship Building: Collaborate with team members across channels to ensure a seamless customer experience, support team initiatives, and identify small business leads.

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun while connecting (Required)
  • Competitive drive and success in fast-paced sales environments (Required)
  • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Additional Details

  • Travel Required: No
  • DOT Regulated Position: No
  • Hourly Base Pay: $17.50

During the first 90 days, associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon completion, they can advance to Mobile Expert with an annual incentive target of $18,000. All employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour including incentives, and are eligible for stock grants.
