Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations and customer needs are constantly evolving. They focus on building strong connections with customers, uncovering their needs, and educating them about device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to a Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
    • Assisting customers to continue their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology.
    • Selling personalized solutions beyond basic devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approaching customer interactions with integrity, composure, and compassion.
  2. Utilize digital tools for interactions and onboarding to demonstrate:
    • Coverage options and network speed in the customer’s area.
    • Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services.
    • Complete training on in-store experience, new skills, and system knowledge.
    • Maximize shift time by learning about innovations and resources.
  3. Build relationships across channels, including with business and customer service teams, to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues.
    • Identify and pass small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer advocacy and engaging authentically.
  • Competitive drive and success in a sales environment.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with peers and leadership.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Information

Within the first 90 days, associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Post-training, they can promote to Mobile Expert with an incentive target of $18,000/year, based on performance. All employees are guaranteed a minimum of $20/hour, inclusive of incentives, and are eligible for an annual stock grant.
