Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who generate energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are continuously evolving. They build meaningful connections with customers, with a focus on uncovering needs and educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, where new associates work with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service and Sales: Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers by providing a world-class experience, exploring customer needs, demonstrating technology, and offering personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices. Approach interactions with integrity and compassion.
  2. Digital Tools and Training: Use digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding, demonstrating coverage, plans, and services. Complete training on systems, resources, and in-store experience, continuously learning about innovations.
  3. Relationship Building: Partner with T-Mobile employees across channels to own the customer experience, resolve issues, identify small business leads, and support team initiatives, fostering an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun connecting with people. (Required)
  • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment. (Required)
  • Willingness to collaborate with peers and leaders, serving customers and resolving issues. (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
Travel

Travel Required: No

Position is not DOT regulated or safety sensitive.

Pay

Hourly base pay is $17.50. During the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive target of $18,000/year, performance-based. All employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour including incentives. Every employee is eligible for an annual stock grant.
