Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They connect deeply with customers, building relationships and understanding their needs to educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions. This role is a learning position, where new associates develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
  • Assisting customers in continuing their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Exploring customer needs and demonstrating technology solutions.
  • Selling personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching service needs with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
  • Use digital tools effectively to:
    • Show coverage and network benefits.
    • Explain plans and services.
    • Complete training on in-store experience, systems, and resources.
    • Stay informed about wireless innovations.
  • Establish relationships with team members across channels to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues.
    • Identify and pass small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster inclusivity.

    Education: High School Diploma/GED (Required)

    Work Experience: 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun.
    • Competitive drive and success in sales environments.
    • Willingness to learn and collaborate with peers and leaders.
    • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals.

    Licenses and Certifications

    • At least 18 years old
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Travel: No travel required

    DOT Regulated: Not regulated

    Hourly pay starts at $17.50 plus $5.00 training pay. After 90 days, promotion to Mobile Expert is possible with an annual incentive target of $18,000, and guaranteed minimum earnings of $20/hour including incentives and stock grants.
