Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They focus on building connections with customers, uncovering their needs, and educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is a learning position, where new associates work with their team and proactively develop skills for advancement to Mobile Expert. New associates are required to complete training successfully.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service & Sales Skills:
    • Assist customers in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Explore customer needs and demonstrate the latest technology.
    • Provide personalized solutions beyond basic devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approach customer needs with integrity and compassion.
  2. Digital Tool Proficiency:
    • Use digital tools to demonstrate coverage, plans, and store experience.
    • Complete training on store processes, systems, and resources.
    • Continuously learn about wireless innovations during shifts.
  3. Relationship Building:
    • Partner with other T-Mobile employees to ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Identify and hand off small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun.
  • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in sales.
  • Willing to learn and collaborate with peers and leaders.
  • Balance customer needs with performance goals.
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Details

Hourly pay starts at $17.50, with training and incentive opportunities. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert offers an annual incentive target of $18,000/year. All employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour including incentives.
