Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They focus on building relationships with customers, uncovering their needs, and educating them on device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by helping customers continue their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store; exploring needs; demonstrating technology; and offering personalized solutions beyond basic devices and plans.
  2. Use digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding to demonstrate coverage, plans, and services; complete training on store experience, skills, and systems; and actively learn about wireless innovations.
  3. Build relationships with T-Mobile employees across channels to ensure a seamless customer experience, support team initiatives, and create an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer advocacy and having fun connecting with people (Required).
  • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required).
  • Willingness to collaborate with peers and leaders, learn, and resolve customer issues (Required).
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals (Required).
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Additional Information

Travel: Not required.
DOT Regulated Position: No.
Safety Sensitive Position: No.
Hourly Pay: Starting at $17.50/hour plus $5.00/hour training pay during the first 90 days. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive of approximately $18,000, with guaranteed minimum earnings of $20/hour including incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), stock grants, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, family benefits, tuition assistance, and discounts.
