CalPortland is seeking a Plant Mechanic in Las Vegas to safely repair and maintain mining equipment in an aggregate facility, including crushers, screen decks, and conveyors. You will perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and document daily activities.

The job requires a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, and owning your own tools. You must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in wet/dry conditions; welding and heavy equipment experience are valued, with adherence to

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Own tools typically used in aggregate facility maintenance.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working in harsh conditions.
• Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Experience with crushers, wash plants, conveyors, material washers and fixed equipment; welding and cutting skills.
• Familiarity with MSHA rules and regulations; FMCSA considerations may apply.

Mansioni

• Perform safety and mechanical inspections of the plant and equipment.
• Address housekeeping issues within the workspace.
• Drive to various facilities to perform maintenance and repair tasks; may include periodic work at ready-mix plants.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems to minimize cost and prevent delays.
• Understand and comply with MSHA rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
