Job description

TheMobile ADAS Technician(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Technician) is responsible for performing all calibration duties, including but not limited to calibrating and repairing vehicle systems to restore them to pre-accident conditions in accordance with OEM specifications within a designated geographical area. This role requires travel between multiple shop locations. A company vehicle will be provided for travel, and the employee’s motor vehicle record must meet VIVE’s guidelines.

Job Requirements
  • Calibration and Adjustment:
  • Calibrates and adjusts sensors, cameras, and radars for systems like lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and parking assistance.
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
  • Uses specialized diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues with ADAS components, such as cameras, radars, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors.
  • Software Updates:
  • Installs software updates or patches to ensure systems are functioning correctly and incorporate the latest advancements.
  • Integration and Testing:
  • Ensures proper integration of ADAS components with the vehicle’s overall electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conducts tests to verify system performance after maintenance or repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with calibration tools and software
  • Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing complex systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturer-specific ADAS guidelines and requirements
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company insurance policy
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check and MVR
  • 1 year experience in ADAS preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Microsoft Office and CCC One experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with MVR that meets VIVE insurance guidelines
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and pull
  • Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
  • Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
