Job summary

WYLD is seeking a Production Lead to coordinate packaging workflows, troubleshoot equipment, and guide new staff at our Kansas City site. You will work with leads and managers to prioritize production, ensure compliance, and maintain safe, efficient operations on a Monday–Friday day shift.

You will supervise the production team, manage the daily schedule, and uphold quality standards while prioritizing maintenance in coordination with the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience on a production line, cannabis experience a plus.
• Strong communication and proactive issue resolution.
• Ability to maintain organized, clean work areas.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations and Logistics managers daily.
• Evaluate efficiency and consistency across lines.
• Assign tasks and communicate expectations to team.
• Train staff on procedures to ensure consistency.
• Monitor machines and coordinate maintenance with ops lead.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Lead daily production schedule and new projects.
• Perform duties for supporting staff as needed.
• Delegate tasks like material handling and cleaning areas.
• Print batch labels and ensure compliance.
• Use METRC seed-to-sale system per government standards.
• Open/close facility safely according to procedures.

MO -Production Lead

Compensation: $20.00 / hour

Description

About the Role:

The Production Lead will work closely with all leads and managers to ensure packaging efficiency and priorities within the production team, utilize/troubleshoot all equipment and standard processes, and help to guide new production employees. Production Lead will also be responsible for all production and equipment. This role will be on site at our Kansas City facility and hours will be Monday-Friday day shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Operations and Logistics Managers in daily operations
• Evaluate and ensure efficiency, completeness, and consistency of all production lines
• Communicate expectations and assign tasks to the production team
• Train the support team on operational procedures to ensure constancy across our product lines
• Ensure machines are functioning properly and prioritize maintenance in alignment with the Operations Manager
• Inspect finished products visually and manually to guarantee accuracy and quality as well as auditing completed batches before transferring to fulfillment
• Lead the team on new projects and manage the daily production schedule
• Perform support staff duties as needed
• Delegate tasks to support staff, including material organization, waste disposal, and cleaning production areas
• Create and print compliant and accurate batch labels to ensure we remain compliant
• Utilize our seed-to-sale system, METRC, effectively and to government standards
• Understand procedures for safely opening and closing the facility

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• You have experience working on a production line, bonus points if you’ve worked in cannabis
• You believe in communication first and discussing issues early and often
