Location: Missouri
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time, hourly
Pay: Starting at $26.00 per hour, with advancement opportunities up to $31.00 per hour based on demonstrated skills and competencies

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Operations and oversees all production, packaging, and manufacturing activities. This position is responsible for ensuring the company consistently delivers safe, high-quality products while maintaining an efficient and cost-effective production operation.

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the hour-by-hour execution of production activities, including production planning, purchasing coordination, inventory management, quality control, regulatory tracking, and team supervision. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a strong presence in the production lab, active participation in product manufacturing, and a commitment to continuous quality and process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Production Leadership
  • Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to all production and packaging associates.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the production lab to coach, support, and develop the operations team.
  • Establish and communicate daily production priorities, assignments, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor work in progress, follow up on assigned tasks, and adjust priorities as needed to keep production on schedule.
  • Manage day-to-day production activities and ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Participate directly in the manufacturing and preparation of products.
  • Promote a positive, reassuring, energetic, educational, and welcoming work environment.
  • Identify production issues, bottlenecks, and delays, communicate concerns promptly, and take ownership of resolving daily operational problems.
Quality and Compliance
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and ensure they are consistently followed by the production team.
  • Maintain product quality standards throughout production and packaging.
  • Identify and address quality concerns before products move to the next stage of production or distribution.
  • Ensure products are accurately labeled and meet applicable company and Missouri cannabis requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment.
  • Ensure production waste is properly documented and destroyed in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
Inventory and Recordkeeping
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for cannabis materials, non-cannabis materials, packaging, ingredients, and production supplies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Monitor materials and supply needs and communicate shortages before they affect production.
  • Maintain accurate cannabis inventory and production information in METRC, Distru, and applicable internal systems.
  • Reconcile physical inventory against METRC, Distru, and internal production records.
  • Identify, investigate, and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including production activity, quantities, yields, material usage, inventory movement, waste, and other required information.
  • Process, organize, review, and maintain production data using company computer systems and software.
Weekly Expectations
  • Create and communicate the weekly production schedule.
  • Monitor production activity to ensure the weekly schedule is followed.
  • Complete inventory counts for all rosin and distillate.
  • Complete inventory counts for non-THC warehouse materials, including packaging and ingredients.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.
Daily Expectations
  • Complete all required production, packaging, waste, inventory, and operational logs.
  • Ensure production waste is properly documented and destroyed at the end of each day.
  • Verify that all manufactured products are accurately entered into Distru and METRC.
  • Ensure all products are appropriately and accurately labeled.
  • Weigh and prepare all rosin and distillate needed for scheduled production.
  • Monitor production progress and address issues that could affect quality, compliance, or scheduling.
Qualifications
  • Previous production management experience required.
  • Previous experience supervising or managing a team required.
  • Cannabis production or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of METRC required. Candidates do not need to be METRC experts but must understand the system and be comfortable working within it.
  • ServSafe Manager certification or an equivalent certification required.
  • Ability to manage multiple production activities and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow established SOPs and ensure team compliance with required procedures.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to process and review production data, quantities, inventory information, and operational metrics.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning software used to manage production and inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to follow responsibilities through completion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated cannabis manufacturing environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and handle ingredient bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to move safely throughout production, laboratory, and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties associated with hands-on production and packaging work.

Compensation Growth

The position begins at $26.00 per hour. Employees may advance through the position’s compensation range, up to $31.00 per hour, based on demonstrated skills, competency, performance, and the ability to independently fulfill the responsibilities of the role. Pay advancement is based on demonstrated capability and is not determined solely by length of service.
