Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support surgical/procedural cases by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires 2 years of OR/anesthesia experience, knowledge of anesthesia equipment setup, ability to lift 40 lbs, and a basic understanding of sterile techniques. BLS certification or readiness within 6 months is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years current Anesthesia/Operating Room experience required.
• Knowledge of setting up all anesthesia/monitoring equipment required.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs required.
• Familiar with sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
• Basic life support (BLS) card or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery system before, during, and after anesthesia care.
• Obtain required blood specimens and assist with insertion of lines and monitoring devices.
• Collaborate with biomedical engineering on equipment setup and maintenance.
