Nexstar Media Group's FOX8 WGHP-TV in North Carolina is seeking a MMJ to join our award-winning newsroom. You will develop enterprise story ideas, build community contacts, and contribute daily video reports.

The role requires a Broadcast Journalism degree, MMJ experience, strong English and communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism required.
• 2 years MMJ experience required.
• Fluency in English required.
• Excellent oral and written communication with ability to ad lib.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Shoots and edits news events and reports.
• Writes stories for the web.
• Arranges interviews with people who can provide information about stories.
• Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following editorial style.
• Researches and analyzes background information related to news stories.
• Gathers information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at various events.
• Pitches stories to managers and producers.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
