WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, SC has an immediate opening for a Reporter/Multimedia Journalist to join our award-winning newsroom. This person must have a passion to affect change and make a difference for our viewers, with outstanding live reporting skills.

The ideal candidate is organized, independent, and able to develop sources and enterprise stories daily while meeting deadlines and upholding journalistic ethics. A 4-year degree in journalism and MMJ/producing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in journalism or related field.
• At least one year MMJ/producing experience.
• Excellent on-camera presence for live and pre-recorded shots.
• Understanding of AP Style and newsroom ethics.

Responsabilités

• Pitch, shoot, write, edit, and present compelling stories for TV and digital.
• Develop sources and enterprise daily stories.
• Write and post stories for digital and social platforms.
• Participate in daily editorial decisions and newscast initiatives.
• Maintain professional conduct and meet deadlines under breaking news.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including overnights and weekends.
