Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. seeks a Weekend MMJ Meteorologist to report, shoot, write and edit weather and news stories across multiple platforms.

You will collaborate with the weather team to develop comprehensive coverage and enterprise daily stories using dynamic live shots, graphics, and digital media tools. Ideal candidates will have a degree in meteorology or related field, up to 2 years of experience, and the ability to shoot video and perform non-linear editing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or related field.
Entry level to 2 years of weather reporting experience.
Ability to shoot video and perform non-linear editing.
Knowledge of ENPS is helpful.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Flexibility to work any shift.

Responsibilities

Produce and present weather/news reports across TV, internet, mobile, and other platforms.
Enterprise and develop stories daily with compelling live shots and graphics.
Write and deliver weather/news stories clearly and concisely.
Respond to breaking weather events and urgent newsroom situations.
Write web weather stories and engage viewers on social media.
