Job summary

Qualifications

• ASCP BOC or ASCPi BOC generalist certification as a medical laboratory scientist.
• At least one year of experience in medical laboratory science education, including program assessment and administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating teaching and clinical/applied learning education.
• Evaluating program effectiveness.
• Maintaining communications with the program director.
• Providing leadership and oversight of MLT program operations, including program development, curriculum, budgeting, and staff management.
• Facilitating curriculum development and revision with the Idaho Consortium for Medical Laboratory Technology Education, aligning with industry standards and accreditation.
• Collaborating with industry partners to meet workforce demands.
• Coordinating campus program approval processes.
• Coordinating the schedule of MLT program offerings.
• Managing all clinical lab functions, including inventory, lab setup, and instruction for MLT courses.
• Overseeing equipment setup, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Advising NHS - CTE Assistant Chair on MLT program issues.
• Coordinating with NHS - CTE Assistant Chair to align MLT with allied health programs.
• Assisting in development and improvement of other allied health CTE programs.
• Teaching in the MLT program.
• Supporting recruitment and retention of students.
