Job summary

Trigg County Hospital Inc in Cadiz, KY seeks a PRN Medical Laboratory Technician to perform testing under the Lab Director. The role covers Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microscopy and requires adherence to established standards.

You will assure quality, support policies, monitor workload, and provide timely, cost-effective, accurate results for all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree and certificate from a NAACLS accredited medical laboratory program.
• MLS/MT/MLT certification; ASCP preferred, but not required.

Performs testing throughout the lab under the direction of the Lab Director.

Performs test procedures and interprets results that include but not limited to Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microscopy.

Ensures lab testing is performed according to established standards.

Assures quality of testing.

Supports, interprets, and enforces hospital and laboratory policies.

Constantly monitors workload and performs testing duties in a timely, cost effective, accurate manner.

Provides services to all age groups which may include infants from birth to two years, children, adults and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's Degree and certificate from a NAACLS accredited medical laboratory program;

MLS/MT/MLT certification; ASCP preferred, but not required.
