Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our busy core laboratory serving inpatients and outpatients. The MLS will perform testing across chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology in a fast-paced setting.

Newly graduated Med Tech Laboratory students are welcome to apply. Must become certified within one year of hire; prior high-complexity experience is preferred. Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equal required.
• Must become certified within one year of hire.
• Previous work experience in high complexity testing preferred.

About the Laboratory:

The Laboratory at Baptist Health Louisville acts as the core laboratory for the Baptist Health system performing testing for both inpatients and outpatients. This fast-paced, busy automated Laboratory has the capacity to perform a full range of tests while maintaining a short turnaround time for our patients. The Medical Laboratory Scientist perform testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology. This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals who like a busy laboratory and an opportunity to learn and grow in the field. Newly graduated Med Tech Laboratory students are welcome to apply.

Knowledge, education, experience:

Bachelor degree in in Medical Laboratory Sciences or an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equal required.
