Job summary

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists for a fast-paced, team-driven lab environment with high testing volumes. MLS professionals rotate across departments to maintain competency and collaborate closely with ER and outpatient teams.

Under general supervision, you will perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and body fluids using manual techniques or instruments, with emphasis on quality control and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; alignment with Medical Laboratory discipline duties.
• Six months of medical laboratory experience required.
• Certification from ASCP/AMT or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluids or specimens.
• Evaluates instrument performance and quality control results to ensure accuracy.
• Calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment and laboratory information systems.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with safety and infection control policies.
