Job summary

Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare in St. Louis, MO is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II to join its laboratory team as a Generalist.

This role offers 10-hour dayshift shifts with weekend and holiday rotation, and provides a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. The MLS/MT must hold or be eligible for ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent certification, with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical/Life Sciences.

Qualifications

• ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent certification preferred/required.
• Strong generalist laboratory skills and commitment to quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operates instrumentation to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.
• Trains new laboratory personnel in methods and use of equipment.
• Performs quality controls and troubleshoots instrumentation.
• Reports patient test results accurately in the LIS with timely turnarounds.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
