Job summary

Baton, the in‑house ML pod of Ryder, seeks a Software Engineer to advance production ML infrastructure in a hybrid San Francisco setting. You will own MLOps components, monitor models, redeploy when needed, and help scale ML workflows across the platform.

You will collaborate with engineers across modeling, data engineering, and operations, delivering reliable, scalable ML solutions that tie into Baton’s core transportation platform. Expertise in Python and distributed systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced production-grade Python coding skills (L4/L5 level).
• Experience with production code impacting operations.
• Ability to build reliable software across modeling, infrastructure, and automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand MLOps infrastructure with monitoring, retraining, redeployment, A/B testing, and drift detection.
• Develop and productionize ML models from concept to deployment, including batch and real-time workflows.
