Speechmatics, a leader in Speech Intelligence, seeks a Senior ML Engineering Lead in Cambridge, MA. You will lead, mentor, and grow a world-class ML engineering team, providing technical oversight for end-to-end ML development and scalable solutions.

You will guide best practices, plan work, allocate resources, and drive production ML systems that achieve ambitious goals. The role requires deep knowledge of transformers, distributed training, model optimization, Python, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding and mentoring ML engineers.
• Ability to prioritize work by impact, feasibility, and time-to-value with measurable success.
• Strong understanding of modern ML stack: transformers, distributed training, and inference optimization methods.
• Proven track record developing and deploying models at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class team of ML engineers through coaching and professional development
• Provide technical oversight for end-to-end ML development, ensuring robust and scalable solutions
