Affirm invites strong students to join our 12-16 week Software Engineer (Machine Learning) Intern program for Summer 2027. Interns will collaborate with mentors to define a project that contributes to their team and ship code into production.

We offer remote-first roles with flexibility, paired with events and opportunities to present your work to the engineering organization at internship end.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, C/C++ or Java.
• Experience with object-oriented programming.
• Deployment and testing frameworks.
• AWS or other PaaS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Ship a project and verify it works in production.
• Collaborate with a mentor and manager to define a project that contributes to your team.
• Attend events with other interns and full-time affirmers.
• Present your work to the engineering organization at the end of the internship.
