Job summary

Lyft Inc. is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer for the ETA team responsible for estimating/predicting ETAs used in ride matching, pricing estimates, and user experience. The role uses AWS, Kubernetes, Go, Spark, Python, and Apache Airflow across distributed teams.

You will develop ML models, analyze data, and write production-grade code that scales to millions of requests per day, in a hybrid in-office setting in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of machine learning experience.
• BS/MS/PhD in CS or related quantitative field.
• Nice-to-have: Airflow and Spark experience in data pipelines.

We are hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to join our ETA team. Our team builds and maintains Lyft's system responsible for estimating/predicting ETAs for every ride request on our platform. ETAs play a critical role in matching decisions, pricing estimates and overall user experience. Low latency, high reliability and high accuracy are paramount for our success.

Responsibilities:

Experience:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or other quantitative fields or related work experience
• 3+ years of Machine Learning experience

• Nice-to-have: Experience with big data processing / distributed data pipelines and tools such as Apache Airflow and Spark

• Ability to work in distributed teams spread across time zones. (North America and Europe)

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $140,800 - $176,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
