Description

We are a small team of self-motivated, curious generalists who love to make thoughtful, interesting new things. Since AI is going to be an integral part of computing’s future, we need you on the team to define and build these prototypes. In your role on the Prototyping team, you will participate in the overall system design and user experience explorations. Working with our software engineering partners across Apple, you will bring these concepts into reality as fully operational systems. Our goal is to be able to imagine new and novel uses for AI in our products, or entire products or experiences based on AI. We need to be able to imagine big things, what we could build with infinite AI compute power, and what a whole new Apple AI user experience might be.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in computer science, or similar engineering degree.
• Experience applying modern AI techniques/models to new prototyping efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD in computer science or similar engineering degree.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Someone who is current on today's LLMs and model architectures, follows the state-of-the-art, is on the lookout for changes in the fast-moving AI landscape that we may want to intercept.
• Has a good imagination for new ways to use these AI technologies for products we haven't conceived of yet.
• Ability to follow through on new ideas to build proof-of-concept or livable prototypes.

Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
