Syntiant Corp. is seeking a DevOps Machine Learning Infrastructure Intern to support our Software Engineering team in Irvine, CA. You will work with engineers to build, maintain, and enhance ML applications deployed on AWS EKS and on-premises clusters.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
• Exposure to AWS EKS, deployed, scaled, and managed Kubernetes clusters is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to cloud services like S3, RDS, VPCs.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and NFS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Deploy & manage applications on AWS EKS with high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Integrate data sources (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate cloud-native tools and practices.
• Maintain on-prem Ceph, PostgreSQL, and NFS servers.
• Troubleshoot across development, staging, and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
