Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Manager of Machine Learning Engineering for the Web Ads Ranking team to lead large-scale indexing, retrieval, and ranking systems that deliver relevant Snapchat ads and drive revenue.

You will define architecture with product teams, build evaluation frameworks with Data Science, and grow a high-performing ML organization, advancing Snap's AI strategy and capabilities. This role requires strong communication and mentorship, plus the ability to navigate complex distributed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 8+ years post-Bachelor’s ML industry experience; or MS + 7+ year ML experience; or PhD + 4+ year ML experience.
• 1+ year leading ML teams focusing on ranking or recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ML engineers and software engineers to build large-scale indexing, retrieval, and ranking systems that deliver Snapchat ads and drive revenue.
• Collaborate with product teams to define architecture and vision and grow the team beyond initial scope.
• Build evaluation frameworks with Data Science and Product to define success metrics and measure outcomes.
• Grow a high-performing team and shape Snap’s broader ML strategy.
