TikTok is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern (Monetization Technology - Ads Core Global) for Summer 2027 in San Jose. You will optimize the advertising funnel and contribute to a global delivery system using ML/DL, RL, and LLMs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in CS, Math, Stats or related field.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python; knowledge of data structures and algorithms; Linux.
• Solid analytics and statistics knowledge.
• Foundations in deep learning concepts.
• Familiar with TF / PyTorch / MXNet architectures.
• Preferred: knowledge in FM, uplift modeling, diffusion models, RL.
• Understanding of large-scale recommender and ads serving concepts.

Responsibilities

• Optimize advertising funnel efficiency across Recall/Rough-sort, Fine-sort, and personalization.
• Research and develop a global advertising delivery system with ML/DL, RL, LLM, scaling laws.
• Design system framework and standards to improve efficiency and meet vertical needs.
• Collaborate with product and business teams globally.
