Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II to create, develop, and validate ML models for power tool solutions worldwide. You will work with cross-functional teams to deploy ML into products, demonstrating strong problem-solving, communication, and project ownership in a fast-paced environment.

You will apply ML algorithms, CNNs/transformers, and Python-based tooling with a solid math background, while traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Course work or specialization in Machine Learning and Data Science.
• At least one year of hands-on ML with embedded systems/edge computing.
• Experience applying ML algorithms (supervised/unsupervised) in non-coursework settings.
• Experience with CNNs, transformers or computer vision.
• Proficient developing & debugging Python; strong libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib).
• Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong math foundation in statistics, linear algebra, calculus.
• Experience with version control & modern software tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, ownership, and communication; travel up to 10%.
