Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II to create, develop, and validate ML models for power tool solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to deploy models into Milwaukee products worldwide, applying strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.

Ideal candidates have hands-on ML experience with embedded systems, Python proficiency, and a solid foundation in statistics and linear algebra.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Course work or specialization in Machine Learning/ Data Science.
• At least 1 year hands-on ML experience with embedded systems, edge computing or related field.
• Experience with ML algorithms in non-academic settings (supervised/unsupervised learning, classification/regression).
• Experience with ML methods such as CNNs, transformers, or computer vision.
• Proficiency developing/debugging Python code; strong NumPy/pandas/scikit-learn knowledge.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Strong foundations in statistics, linear algebra, calculus, and optimization.
• Experience with modern software dev tools and version control.
