Job summary

Waymo in San Francisco is seeking a talented ML/Robotics researcher to advance state-of-the-art embodied AI for the Waymo Driver. This hybrid role collaborates across teams to deploy cutting-edge ML models in production and to land disruptive technologies.

The ideal candidate has a Masters in CS/ML/Robotics, strong Python skills, and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, plus a track record of ML research or industry deployment in large-scale pipelines.

Qualifications

• Requires a Masters degree in CS, ML, Robotics or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with modern DL frameworks.
• Experience developing ML models in industrial or research settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend research in robotics and ML for embodied AI agents.
• Collaborate across organizations to deploy technologies into production.
• Work with state-of-the-art Foundation Models and large-scale data/evaluation pipelines.
• Drive model development via data, evaluation, and systems infrastructure.
