Job summary

TikTok is hiring in Seattle for a role on the Governance and Experience Algorithm team. You will work on detecting risks and violations in ecommerce, building an advanced AI ecosystem, and developing algorithms for fraud detection across products, carts, short videos, and live content.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD, have strong Python/Go/C++ skills, and deep ML/DL and NLP knowledge. Onboarding by year-end and global collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• PhD in software, CS, CE or related field.
• Proficient in Python, Go or C++.
• Strong data structures/algorithms foundation with ML/DL theory.
• Familiar with NLP, CV, multimodal or graph algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Identify algorithms for risk/violation issues in e-commerce (products, carts, live content).
• Mine and detect fraudulent behaviors and identify risky merchants/creators.
• Optimize algorithms for large-scale libraries and content deduplication.
• Contribute to data construction, instruction fine-tuning, CoT and model alignment in ecommerce.
• Explore RL and operations research for intelligent dispatching and audit scheduling.
