TikTok is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Graduate for the E-Commerce User Growth team in San Jose, with a 2027 start. The role focuses on optimizing growth and marketing algorithms, including personalized messaging and recommendations, to boost e-commerce DAU and GMV.

Successful candidates typically have CS/ENG degrees and hands-on experience with C++, Python, and DL tools. The position is a regular, full-time role with a competitive base salary and potential bonuses or RSUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in C++ and Python; at least one Big Data tool (Hive/Spark/MapReduce); at least one Deep Learning tool (TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures with excellent coding skills.
• Strong learning ability, curiosity, and good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Participate in optimizing TikTok e-Commerce growth and marketing algorithms, including user value modelling, personalized messaging, recommendations, and intelligent marketing.
• Establish a user lifecycle data and value system to address core pain points and business challenges related to TikTok Mall user growth.
• Contribute to implementation of product and technical solutions for user growth engines, such as personalized push notifications/emails and recommendation handling.
• Optimize algorithms related to recall/sorting for new user recommendations to improve relevance and diversity.
• Optimize intelligent marketing algorithms using uplift models and operations research to improve marketing efficiency and GMV growth.
