Job summary

Apple is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to build systems that measure and improve AI experiences used by millions. You will develop ML models, evaluation frameworks, and scalable infra to understand model behavior and accelerate LLM and multimodal AI research.

Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and product teams to translate cutting-edge research into production-ready solutions, analyze large-scale data, and benchmark AI quality.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in CS, ML, EE or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–2 years of industry, academic or internship experience in ML/AI.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++ or another OO language.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX.
• Understanding ML fundamentals: supervised learning, model evaluation, statistics.
• Experience with data processing and model training via coursework or projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
