Job summary

Parisi Labs is an AI company building learning systems for complex physical environments. We are hiring an ML Data Platform Engineer to make data behind our models dependable, understandable, and easy to use.

Based in a small team, you will translate messy real-world sources into durable datasets and interfaces used by researchers, product engineers, and customer teams. New data contracts and robust quality checks will be central to your work.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL experience.
• Experience in data engineering and ML data platforms.
• Experience with object storage, data warehouses, streaming/workflow systems, and APIs.
• Experience preparing data for model training, evaluation, or scientific computing.
• Familiarity with time-series, geospatial, weather, or temporally sensitive data is useful.
• Startup or small-team experience with ownership is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve ingestion, backfill, validation, and observability for high-volume, time-dependent data.
• Define data contracts and point-in-time semantics for model training, evaluation, and product use.
• Create reusable workflows for bringing new sources into the system.
• Build quality, lineage, freshness, and access controls for trusted data reuse.
• Develop datasets and query interfaces for ML and product workloads.
• Diagnose failures in source data, transformations, or serving systems.
• Collaborate with researchers and product engineers to make data requirements reliable software.
• Assess which abstractions should become durable infrastructure vs. single-use.
