Job summary

Google Inc. is hiring a Software Engineering Manager for GenAI, Computer Vision, Google Maps Immersive Navigation in Mountain View. You will lead ML/CV initiatives, translate ambiguous data into robust navigation features, and guide a team across multiple sites to deliver scalable geospatial capabilities.

You’ll drive product strategy, mentor engineers, and contribute to a multi-year plan focused on 3D immersive navigation that serves billions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 3 years of people management experience.
• 5 years leading ML design and ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• Experience with computer vision learning techniques, ML algorithms, generative AI, or applied AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of turning imagery, location, and sensor data into precise geometries for Geo’s navigation products.
• Set and communicate team priorities; align strategy across teams and stakeholders.
• Set expectations and coach individuals; conduct performance discussions.
• Develop long-term technical outlook and roadmap for infrastructure needs.
